Since January 2024, Joyce has balanced a full-time Software Engineer role at WiseTech Global with fulltime Computing Science studies at UTS, achieving high distinctions in all subjects. Her long-term career plan is to specialise in Artificial Intelligence and she intends to pursue a Master’s in AI to deepen her expertise and research into cutting-edge AI technologies. Ultimately, her goal is to blend her software engineering background with advanced AI research to build products that genuinely make the world more connected and accessible. Beyond the classroom she is deeply passionate about global education. She says that the award will ease the financial pressure of her final year while directly supporting the academic and technical foundation she is building for postgraduate studies.
