GW NSW gives prizes to students throughout their courses for excellence and proficiency in their subjects. At Sydney University we annually give two prizes, the first is the Tish Proctor Memorial Prize to the Most Proficient Woman Student Doing Postgraduate Coursework Study in Government which this year was won by Georgia May Kingsbeer, who was unable to attend the prizegiving ceremony on 5 May. The prize is awarded annually to the best performing female student in the final year of her Master of Public Policy degree.
The second prize is the Tish Proctor Memorial Prize for the Most Proficient Woman Student in First Year Government which was shared by four students (not something we expected) Elizabeth Antonia Sapienza Day, Emily Margaret Gyton, Kayla Fairweather, Veronica Ann Rollings-Longhurst. The prize is awarded to a female student undertaking a Politics Major with the highest mark achieved in the unit of study, GOVT 1641.
The University of Sydney English Prize for English II Essays was won by Pia Curran. Treasurer ‘Tricia Blombery attended the presentation.
